Valentine's Day

Ok, delayed post, but Valentine's Day was so fun! Tyler and I played all day and then we went to Tucanos for dinner, which is totally amazing! Neither of us had ever been there before, and we were very pleasantly surprised about how awesome it was! Tyler's eyes were huge the whole time, and he still talks about it haha. We wish we could go back, but it definitely does not fit a college student budget!

Employed!

I finally got a job!
I now work for the Church at the Global Service Desk. It is where church employees call when they are having technical difficulties. I am so excited! The pay is great and I can get lots of hours!

And the best part is.....

Tyler works there too!

Ebay Addiction

Tyler and I have it. Well, Tyler a little more than I.

It all started out one day when Ty's roommates walking in to the living room holding a new Wii Fit he had just bought from Wal-Mart from $90. He told us he might sell it on Ebay because they were going for about $140. We were just oh ok....cool.

A few days later, we were at Wal-Mart for something and Tyler walked over to the electronics. They had just gotten a new shipment of Wii Fits for $90. So, Ty got this idea that he wanted to buy one, then sell it on Ebay. He convinced me, so I bought one too. We ended up selling them for $130 and $132. So we made a little profit.

A couple days ago Tyler got a steal (on Ebay) on FLOOR Rascal Flatts concert tickets! He is taking me for Valentines Day (Which I am totally excited for!). They were only $190 for both. After looking around, we saw that floor seats are going for about $250 (at least) for two tickets. So.....we are keeping that in mind.
Sorry Rascal Flatts, a $100 or more profit may be worth more to me than seeing you live.

And then yesterday, Tyler bid on a Wii console and Wii fit that was going for only $127!! Now that is definitely a steal. So we will see.

Ebay is so fun

Quite a Dichotomy

Ok so the thing is, I REALLY want to go somewhere this summer. My mom and my roommates got me all pumped up to travel. Annie might be going to Namibia this summer for study abroad and I am so jealous! So I have been looking around, and I found something I would love to go do.

BRAZIL:

Outside of Sao Paulo, they hold an English summer camp for Brazilians ages 5-17. I would be a counselor teaching them English, playing sports, doing crafts, and all those fun summer camp activites. I could also pick up on some Portuguese. This would be a BLAST and it would really give me some great stuff on my resume.

GERMANY, ITALY, or SPAIN

Conversation Corps. I would be living in a families home and my job would be to teach them English in fun, creative ways. I would help the children with their English homework and teach them as much as I could. On the weekends, I am free to travel Europe! Another plus side to this is I bet I could find an LDS church nearby. I could also pick up on the language of the family.

Decisions! BAHH!

Oh the way of life

Just a little peek into what goes on in home-sweet-home. Annie loves this picture.

Life is going great! I am in the Elementary Education program and my classes are so fun! They have names like "Drama in the Classroom" and "Rhythm and Dance". Also I get to take an art class, music class, and PE class. So it is way sweet. And what is even better is I feel like everything I learn in my classes is so important- I am learning how to be a better teacher. Pretty much love it. Also, Tyler is here so that makes everything even more fun! This weekend we went up to Salt Lake just for kicks and it was way fun. We are also turning into coupon and free-stuff lovers, seeing as we are both pretty low on cash. It is a blast.

I was on Yahoo today and I saw this news story. The title was "Nazi-named children taken from parents" (here is the link) http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28655143/
So basically, this couple named their children Adolf Hitler Campbell, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell. Yes, very weird and the parents probably just want to stand out and make a statement. The story says how the kids are being taken into custody. The story doesn't give the reason. I sure as heck hope they aren't being taken away because of their names. Sure, Adolf Hitler was a horrible man, but that doesn't mean this little kid is a monster. Parents are free to name their kids whatever they want. And the children should not be punished and put into foster care because their parents named them something weird. Anyway, just weird stuff.
